Mechanical Hybrid Integration

Mechanical Hybrid Integration and Engine Modification

Video shows the engine running electronic fuel injection converted with the hybrid drive unit attached, turbocharger, new exhaust, and internal modifications coming soon

Custom sprocket design, mounts inline with driveshaft for BMW 330CI LSD, shown in video CNC machined out of AISI 6061 T6 aluminum, will be remade with AISI 1045 or W2 steel for the drive train installation. This sprocket pair is easy to change out due to the proprietary tensioning system I designed, the current ratio is set up for the motor to over rev slightly at top speed.

Custom Motor Cage mounts to rear engine mounts of the ZZR1100 combustion engine.

Custom exhaust headers optimized for primary length, custom 4-1 collector.

Rough calculation for primary length, of course subject to inaccuracy as is the nature of exhaust scavenging optimization, but a decent place to start. I aired on the longer side so we would hit peak scavenging efficiency around 8-10k RPM. This engine should redline at 12k after the upgrades, right now it redlines at 11k.
